Eight Adams County organizations have come together to invest in our community and meet this pressing need, creating Adams County CAREs. Those organizations include:
With an investment of $250,000 from the Adams County Board and a match of $250,000 from philanthropic and private sources, we believe that we can help encourage 58 new child care providers! With each child care provider potentially caring for up to seven children, this could mean an additional 406 children receiving care in Adams County. Achieving this goal means Adams County will increase child care capacity by 18.5%.
CAREs will prioritize strategies to enhance the retention and recruitment of child care providers. This effort isn’t just about increasing child care availability – it's about elevating its quality. Through our three-pronged approach, we’re paving the way for child care providers to flourish, contributing to strong, reliable child care programs. When providers succeed, our community grows stronger, and our future shines brighter.
